Available in AR400, AR450, AR500, AR550 and AR600 grades, TruWear is designed to resist wear, extend service life, and reduce downtime in applications such as construction equipment, conveyor systems, refuse vehicles, and shooting ranges. Heat-treated for consistent hardness and durability, TruWear delivers dependable performance for fabricators and operators who need materials that can take repeated abuse and keep working.
TruWear® abrasion-resistant steel is engineered to extend equipment service life in high-wear environments, helping reduce downtime and replacement costs.
Advanced heat-treating, quench, and tempering processes deliver a combination of hardness and strength that resists abrasion while absorbing impact without cracking or permanent deformation.
TruWear’s optimized chemistry and mechanical properties provide exceptional wear resistance without unnecessary weight, supporting efficient, high-performing equipment designs.
Designed with ductility in mind, TruWear supports forming and compatibility with most conventional manual or automated welding processes.
Melted and manufactured in the United States, TruWear supports domestic sourcing requirements and reliable supply for industrial and infrastructure applications.
CMC Impact Metals’ experienced team provides guidance on forming and welding requirements to help ensure successful downstream fabrication.
Our abrasion-resistant steel AR400 flat bar is heat-treated for use in construction, manufacturing and structural applications and is suitable for projects and applications that require a combination of high strength, toughness and abrasion resistance.
As a mill-rolled product, our TruWear AR400 Flat Bar has a smooth edge that helps ensure straightness, safer handling and overall product consistency, and features both a combination of high abrasion resistance and weldability.
Our abrasion resistant flat bar has uses and applications across multiple industries. It is often used in wear strips and end-use products that need to endure repetitive movement and wear. Common industries and applications for TruWear AR400 flat bar:
